How To Order From Foamcoreprint.com

Visual Media

It is our goal to provide the best products to all of our customers at prices that they can afford. We aim to deliver our goods on time. We see our work as an extension of ourselves. This means that we feel a personal responsibility for everything that we print. For this reason, we reserve the right to refuse to print any work that we deem lewd or offensive to common morality. To help us meet these goals, we ask that you follow the guidelines below, which are designed to help avoid any incidents in the ordering and production processes.

The basic scale for larger works is to be a 1/12 scale, meaning one inch on the artwork submitted to us will be one foot in the final printed product.

Basic Guidelines:

Foamcoreprint.com created our site to be as easy to use as possible. We wanted to avoid all the bells and whistles that are so common in the printing industry, as these only add time and expense to the process. To make the final product as affordable and high quality as possible for you, our customer, we have designed our site to be as streamlined as possible. A major part of this is the ability to preview your product before it is printed. By taking advantage of this feature, you will be able to ensure that the product you receive is exactly as you want it to be.

Guidelines For Image Quality and Sizing:

Canceling Or Change An Order

We will be glad to cancel or change your order within 2 hours of purchase if the artwork has NOT been approved. You will have 10 mins from the approval of the online proofs to make changes and or cancel the order. We have a fully automated printing system, which means; 10 minutes after the approval of your artwork, production will begin. If production has already started on the order, WE CAN NOT MAKE CHANGES OR CANCEL THE ORDER, and there are NO REFUNDS. Once your order has been successfully placed and approved, your total refund may be subject to administrative or labor fees.

File Formats Accepted:

  • Illustrator (AI, PDF, with all fonts outlined)
  • Photoshop (PSD, TIFF, EPS, PDF, JPEG, PNG, SVG)
  • Any other graphics program capable of creating a PDF, TIFF, EPS, JPEG, PNG, SVG file.

Hue and Image Color

As with any creative project, the custom color and hue of your design are some of the central features. Since it can be difficult for us to match colors exactly without additional direction, we ask that if you want us to color match something, provide the necessary information in the additional comments section during your order. This will help expedite the process and ensure that your prints turn out exactly as you want them to. This is especially important as we will simply match the color in your digital submission if we are not provided additional information.

Please note that Foamcoreprint.com uses the Cyan, Magenta, Yellow, and Black ink set for all our printing jobs. This CMYB set allows us to match most Pantones (PMS) accurately (within five to ten percent of the original file). To help us do this, we ask that you provide us with the Spot (PMS) colors for your design. This allows us to referees a Pantone “Swatch Book” wherein we can more accurately print your products. Due to our four color printing procedures, we are not able to completely match every conceivable color.

If we are unable to match a color exactly, we will match it to the best of our abilities using our four-color printing process. To foresee any issues with you, a great resource to use is the “Solid to Process” color guide that can help you see how your print might turn out when it is transferred to a physical medium. Here you can see the color conversion side by side and see exactly how it will turn out.

Proof Prints For The Customer

As the customer, you need to remember that whenever you approve a proof of a job, the job will go into printing production. This means that you have confirmed the job and have told our team to get started on printing it. You are taking responsibility for any issues with the design as it is uploaded at this point and telling our team that we are good to get to work for you.

Before you approve a proof, you must double-check everything to make sure it is right how it should be. A non-exhaustive checklist would include checking the type, halftones, number, names, and positioning of everything in your design. We will carefully print the color as closely as we can to your design as it is uploaded and transmitted to us, however, please remember that there are certain limitations in the color printing process, and we can not match every design completely.

Our online tool has been designed to be as easy to use and as accurate as possible for you. Take advantage of the soft proofing for object placing and proper spelling of any text and make sure that every part of your design has been included in it. Remember that our online proofs are of a lower resolution than the print file is, so it will appear blurrier than in actuality.

If you are interested in the additional step, Foamcoreprint.com can provide you with a hard copy proof of your design. This will be a smaller representation of it that you can use to see how it looks in physical form and check for any issues with object placement, spelling, and color in print. If there are any problems with your hard copy proof, you should not approve it. Instead, you should immediately get ahold of your account manager to discuss the issues and resolve them as quickly as possible.

As stated in our return policies, if you notice any errors or other issues with your products, we require that you notify us within 24 hours of delivery so that we can work to correct the issue. If the errors were a result of our actions, we will reprint the affected pieces for you at no additional cost and ship them. We at Foamcoreprint.com do, however, retain the right to investigate and determine the merits of any claim and decide if the error is due to the manufacturer.

Extra Changes With Proofs

Before and the order can be marked as complete and ready to print, we require you, the client, to sign off on the proof. We need to receive this verification from you two hours before production a being. This period commences once you have ordered your product. Below are the different types of proofs that you may choose from for your product:

Digital Proof:

Whenever a customer submits artwork to our site, we create a digital proof immediately during the ordering process that gives the client a way to view their work as they are creating it. You can manipulate this as you make changes to your design and get it ready for print. Please note that since these digital proofs are displayed on a monitor, they are not totally accurate and will not be completely calibrated for color.

This type of proof is free. If you notice any issues with it but believe that the files and artwork you have submitted are totally correct, we ask that you make a note of this in the additional comments section of your order while you file it. We have invested heavily in our proofing engine and are confident that it is accurate. Still, it is not perfect, and our expert staff and designers will review your final proof to give you a guarantee that it will turn out how you want.

Physical Printed Proof:

If you want to be extra cautious and ensure that your design is perfect before it goes to print, you can request the team at Foamcoreprint.com to create a physical copy of it to ship to your location. This is the best method of proofing. However, it requires the most investment from both sides as well. For this reason, this method of proofing costs an additional $50 plus the cost of shipping and takes two business days to produce.

Fine Art and Color Palette Matching Policies:

It is important to remember that your art will take differently to different mediums. Beyond this, art is, as the name would imply, an art and not a science. A large part of the quality of a design is up to the personal taste of the person viewing it. To help with this, for a $150 fee, Foamcoreprint.com can provide you with three critical color matching sets for all fine art products. This can help you to ensure that the work is exactly as you wish it to be when it is finally printed. Still, reproductions of artwork are not guaranteed to create a perfect copy. At your request, we can manipulate the file you supply to improve it for a $150 minimum fee and at a rate of $85 an hour.

Additionally, we can rush the production of orders that are needed sooner rather than later. You can see different options for this when you checkout your order and the associated prices, which will vary by geographic location.

Any and all artwork files must be transmitted and approved by 10:00 AM (PST), Same day Production is 8:00 AM (PST)

Our order turnaround timer starts as soon as you transfer your artwork to our team and approve the order. This timing is a reference only to how long it takes us to produce the order and does not account for regular shipping and any delays it may encounter en route. While it is our goal to release all orders as quickly as possible for our clients, if your order is completed after 4:00 PM, we may not be able to ship it or release it for pickup until the following business day.

Order Completion

It is our standard policy to ship all regular orders within three business days of them being approved. This time begins as soon as the client okays the prints and pays for the order. Our clock starts counting the following business day if the customer approves after 10:00 AM Pacific Standard Time. Any order placed over a weekend will be received, and production will begin the next regular business day.

There are exceptions to this standard rule. They are as follows:

Large orders (quantity or square footage) may require more time. An appropriate deadline will be discussed with the customer when the order is placed. It is understood production will not begin until all artwork, changes to the artwork, and approval of all artwork is received. Deadlines will be modified based on these criteria being met.

Massive orders, be that either the size of the product as measured by square feet or the number of goods ordered will require additional production time on our end. When the order is placed, we will discuss this with the customer to work out an agreeable deadline. Please remember that we are not able to begin any work until we have received all the relevant material and information from your team, including artwork and final approval of the order. We are unable to move up any deadlines when these criteria are not met.

We recommend that you read the terms of each promotion in their entirety so that there are no surprises. Unless the specific promotion states otherwise, any promotion that offers you a free product will be limited to one per customer. Any promotion is void where prohibited. Any other promotions that we offer may only be useable for a specific time or might only be redeemable once. Once again, check the specific terms with each promotion to understand its rules.
